The squire Sjurd Mattson was married to Hustru Cesilie, and lvied at Randa on Finnøy in 1519.[1]
He was still living in 1532, and was recorded at Talgje on Sjernarøy, as "Siuordt Mattszøn paa Talgje".[1]
After the deaths of Sjurd and Cesilie, Cesilie's heirs, Sebjørn and Tore Toresønner, claimed their properties as inheritance; Sjurd's four brothers claimed brother's inheritance, and won their claim in a sentence from 1557. Sebjørn and Tore did not relinquish the lands, and were ordered to share once more in a second sentence from 1578.[1]
