Biography

Mabel was the daughter of Otto Nicholas Maes and Anna Kraft.

Birth

Mabel's year of birth was 1920 according to her headstone, however, she was not listed with the family when they were enumerated for the 1921 Census. Possibly born in 1921.

Passed away at Pinehaven Nursing Home, Waterloo, on Friday, March 26, 2010 at the age of 89 years.

Dear wife of the late Raymond Doersam (1997).

Predeceased also by her sister Arnette (Fisher) Topper and her brother Elmer Maes.

Mabel was a long time employee of Dutch Boy Food Market on Highland Road, Kitchener.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Mabel with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Tuesday, March 30 from 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 8:45. Visitation will continue at St. Peter’s R.C. Church, Ayton, Ontario on Wednesday March 31, beginning at 10:45 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Murray Farwell as Celebrant. Interment at St. Peter’s R.C. Cemetery, Ayton.

Mabel’'s family wishes to thank the caregivers of Pinehaven Nursing Home for the genuine care and kindness shown to her during her stay there.

Mabel's obituary stated she was to be interred at buried at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Ayton; Find A Grave has her memorial at Ayton Union Cemetery, in Ayton, Ontario.
