Biography

George Washington Magee was born in 1785 and died in 1841. He married Catharine Senseney 28 Sept 1807 in Frederick Co. MD. ^[1] During the War of 1812, George W. was captain of his own company with the Maryland Militia, raised in Frederick Co. MD.^[2]

He married Catharine Senseney 28 Sept 1807 in Frederick Co. MD. About 1818 the family relocated to Tarlton, Pickaway Co. OH.

George W. and Catharine were the parents of 12 children, including: Elmira (Magee) Greeno (b. 1808-1810, d. 1843) James Madison Magee (b. 1812, d. 1900-1910) John J. Magee (1814-1890) Isaac Newton Magee (1817-1894) George Washington Magee (1819-1910) Mary C. (Magee) Reed (b. 1827)

According to a biography about son George Washington Magee (called "Washington Magee") in "A Biographical Record of Fairfield County, Ohio" published 1902, his father George W. was buried in Tarlton, Pickaway Co. OH. Upon her death, his wife Catharine was buried next to him. So far their graves have not been located in Tarlton.
