BOLIVIA – Mrs. Martha Lou Wescott, age 72, of McKay Road, died Sunday, March 30, 2003, in the Brunswick Community Hospital. Born in Cumberland County, KY, on October 11, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Grace Nichols Maggard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy F. Wescott; a grandson, Mark Wescott Jr.; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Guy H. Wescott, Mark Wescott Sr., both of Bolivia; a daughter, Betty Jean Evans of Bolivia; four brothers, E.G. Maggard of Shallotte, Wendell Maggard of Morristown, TN, Jerry Maggard of Supply, Alfred Maggard of Bolivia; two sisters, Juanita Caudill of Bolivia, Judy Caison of Holden Beach; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2003, in the Chapel of Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, Supply, with the Reverend Lewis Wescott and the Reverend Ron Capps officiating. Interment will follow in the David R. Mercer Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Allen Caison, Tony Caison, Wesley Moore, Mickey Maggard, Jerry Lynn Maggard and James W. Wescott. Mr. Clyde Galloway will serve as honorary pallbearer.
