Biography

Donna Maddalena Maggio, or Mastet, as she is called in the two records of her children's baptisms, is from Naples. She is married to Don Gaetano Girodano e Orsini, an assistant teacher.

Maddalena and Gaetano have at least two children who are born and baptized in Corleone: Michaele (1810) and Pietro (1812).

Michaele is born 29 September 1810 and baptized the next day. His godparents are I.V.D. Marquis Don Carlo and Donna Vincenza Firmaturi, a married couple.

Pietro is born 20 February 1812 and baptized the next day. This record calls his mother Maggio, and notes that his parents are from Naples. His godparents are U.I.D. Pietro Alfossi, Zenente Coronello (lieutenant colonel, probably from the Bourbons' army as the couple is from Naples) and Donna Maria Grazia Giordano Orsini e Consales, wife of Don Emmanuele Resni, from Napoli.
