Ur Nils William Olsson: Swedish passenger arrivals in the United States1820-1850: Jon Magnusson, farmer, b. in Vannsäter, Söderala parish Jan. 19, 1801, s. Magnus Bengtsson Feltman, farmer, and Margta Jansdotter. He was m. to Margareta Wäxell, b. in Tyby in Mo Parish Feb. 6, 1805, dau Mårten Wäxell and sister of Jonas Olsson´w wife (see nr 37 above). They had two children, both b. in Söderala - Mårten, b April 10, 1831 and Margta, b Sept, 25,1836. The family received pps. in Gävle June 17, 1846. They settled in Bishop Hill, where they were living in 1850, except Jon Magnusson, who was either absent or dead. Margareta Wäxell d. in henry County Feb 24, 1897.
