Biography

Granddaughter of Rev. Francis Clark who started the first Methodist Church in what was then Lincoln County, Kentucky.

Daughter of Col. John Mahan (Apr. 19, 1755- Feb. 24, 1830) and Sarah Anderson Clark (mar. 11, 1765-Jan. 12, 1838). Sarah Clark was the daughter of Rev. Francis Clark who started the first Methodist Church in what was then Lincoln Co., Kentucky.

Col. John Mahan was born in Ireland.
