Franz Anton Maier was born on 25 March 1734 in Wäschenbeuren[1]. He was the son of Matthias Maier and Walburga Wengel. His godparents were Alexander Weichmann and Anna Strohmayr. He was known as Anton.
Thomas Göser was godfather of all 12 of his children. Theresia Benzel was the godmother of the first 9 children until she passed away on 7 July 1772, and Rosina Dangelmayer was godmother of the last 3.
His occupation is recorded as a Kübler (Cooper) in Wäschenbeuren parish records[3].
He passed away on 1 March 1789 in Wäschenbeuren[4].
