Jesse Morgan Main was a soldier during the American Civil War, enlisting at Norwich, Conn., Sep. 1862, in Co. G, 21st Regt. Connecticut Volunteers. He died in the Ninth Army Corps Hospital, Knoxville, Maryland, 20 Nov 1862; buried in Union Cemetery, No. Stonington: Find A Grave: Memorial #17545804
