Biography

Jesse Morgan Main was born in 1816 @ North Stonington, Connecticut, the second child of John Main and Matilda Brown.

He married 26 Nov 1837 at No. Stonington, Hannah (Partelo) Barber (1821-1919), daughter of John and Mary/Polly (Main) Partelo, with whom he had 3 children.

Jesse Morgan Main was a soldier during the American Civil War, enlisting at Norwich, Conn., Sep. 1862, in Co. G, 21st Regt. Connecticut Volunteers. He died in the Ninth Army Corps Hospital, Knoxville, Maryland, 20 Nov 1862; buried in Union Cemetery, No. Stonington: Find A Grave: Memorial #17545804
