Research Notes

Find A Grave: Memorial #32190686 may have listed previously a 3rd wife Sarah Butler, but that no longer appears.

Abigail's parents were Thomas Worden(1682-1759) and Sarah Butler (1690-1760. Marriage date comes from Connecticut, Town Marriage Records, pre-1870 (Barbour Collection).

Find A Grave: Memorial #32190686 is for Jeremiah Main Jr, son of Jeremiah Main and Ruth Huse, birthdate Apr 10 1708, that is sourced. It does have same Abigail Worden as spouse.

Main-281 and Main-220 appear to represent the same person because: Both represent the husband of Abigail Worden (his first wife) and Thankful Brown (his second wife). His correct parents were Jeremiah Main Sr. (1678-1727) and Ruth (Huse/Brown) Main (1663-1739), not Hannah (Rose) Main (1669-1724) and Ezekiel Main (1673-1715). This same error in parental attachments has been noted by others.

Abigail (Worden) Main was already attached as spouse of Jeremiah Main Jr. who is well sourced. Sources are needed for this profile.

Note, both Main-220 and Main-1892 have the wrong date of marriage between Jeremiah Main (Maine) and Abigail Worden. The correct date is 04 Jan 1727 (this is according to the Barbour Collection, Genealogical Record of Nathaniel Babcock, Simeon Main, Isaac Miner, Ezekiel Main and "The History of Stonington". According to his FindAGrave Memorial # 32190686, He is buried in Great Plain Cemetery which is located in the same place as his death: North Stonington.
