Biography
Jean Main was baptized 10 Jun 1798 in Kinnellar, the daughter of William Main and Margaret Reid[1]. Jean married Walter Paterson 05 Mar 1826 in Midmar[2]. They had a child named Walter in 1833. Jean's husband Walter must have died because Jean subsequently married William Milne 12 May 1846 in Midmar[3]. In the 1851 census William, age 46, a Joiner, Cart/Plough Wright and Jane, age 48, a Mid Wife, were living at Woodend in Midmar with Jean/Jane's son Walter Paterson, a General Servant and a Blacksmith Journeyman and an Apprentice Blacksmith. I have no further information on the family.
