I am becoming quite convinced that the birthplace for James Main (Main-1003) is actually PA

and the family subsequently moved to Monongalia WV. I think his father and mother are Sebbeus II (Main-995) and Mary Keenan (Keenan-699), although how James got lost among all those siblings is unclear. The branch is a bit tangled around the two wives named Mary Keenan and the several spellings of Sebbeus (Sabeus, e.g.) in the census documents. I'm gonna see what I can dig up.

Main-1003 and Main-1878 appear to represent the same person because: Main 1003 appears to be an orphan, but it has solid birth and death data, including that the locations match the location of Main 1878's son William's birth location.
