He was born about 1605 in England.
Richard Major married about 1627 in Hampshire, England to Jane Iremonger.
He died about 1664 in King William County, Virginia.
The info below is conflicted because the supposed parents married about 20 years AFTER this profile was born ...
Richard Major II was given as the son of Richard Major of Hursley and his wife, Anne Kingswell who were married in 1625.
Richard Major did not acquire the manor of Merdon at Hursley until about 1638 before which time the Majors seem to have had no connection with Hursley. [1]
Hence it seems highly unlikely that Richard Major, II was born at Hursley or that he was the son of Richard Major and Anne Kingswell whose daughters were the heirs to the property.
"Seventeenth Century Colonial Ancestors" v2 gives different dates for Richard Major, II and suggests that he was married in Virginia, not England.
