Biography

Giovanni Majuri is born 30 September 1911 in Corleone (this date is unsourced), the son of Pietro Majuri and Giovanna Cascio. Pietro, the father, is a member of the Fratuzzi, the mafia in Corleone.

Giovanni and his brother, Antonino, are named as known criminal associates in a Senate hearing in 1962.[1]

After the murder of his nephew, Pietro Maiuri, a revenge killing after the attack on Luciano Leggio, Giovanni is forced to live in Sartirana Lomellina (Pavia) for four years starting in 30 September 1969. A bachelor, having never married[2], he gets wealthy after the Second World War, and at one point owned a residential building as well as an Agip gas station and convenience store in Corleone.[3]
