Margaret was born in 1861 in Cariboo Cove, Nova Scotia. She is the daughter of James Malcolm and Wilmot Williams. She married Robert Proctor in Halifax in 1880. She was living in Braintree, Massachusetts in the household of one of her daugthers (Mrs. C. L. Ford) when she died in 1939. She is buried in Grantville Cemetery.
