Margaret was born in 1833. He is the daughter of David Malcolm and Mary Proctor. She married William Murray in Plaster Cove on 6 December 1854. [The date of marriage is provided on the birth registration of their daughter, Mary Ellen, born in 1866. There is no documentary evidence linking her to David and Mary Malcolm as parents, but given her year of birth, and the fact that the David Malcolm family seems to have been the only one in the area at the time, this is a highly likely linkage.] In 1871 they are living in River Inhabitants with five children. In 1881 there are two children in the household. In 1891 they are still there with only their daughter Catherine (Annie) in the household. Margaret and William appear to have moved from Port Richmond to Sackville, New Brunswick between 1891 and 1901. The 1901 Census shows that Catherine continues to live with them. Margaret died in Sackville in 1917 and is buried in the Sackville Rural Cemetery.
