Biography

Joseph was born in 1899 in Port Malcolm, Nova Scotia. He is the son of Alexander Malcolm and Mary White. His baptism is recorded in the records of St. Francis de Sales Parish as having taken place on 23 December 1899. The names of the sponsors are not provided. The 1901 Census shows him as Ernest S with a birthdate of 17 December 1899. The 1911 Census shows his name as Joseph E. He died in 1925 (the name Ernest is on the death registration) of typhoid fever and is buried in Lower River Inhabitants.
