Walter was born in about 1848 in Wigtown Scotland. He was the son of Walter Malcolm and Catherine (Powell) Malcolm.[1]
In 1851 Walter was living in North Side, High Street, Wigtown [2]
On 7 April 1861 Walter was living at 96 Devon St, Liverpool, Lancashire, England. [1]
On 18 December 1874 Walter was employed as a Freight Clerk, at the time of his daughter Catherine Elizabeth's birth. in Liverpool, Lancashire.
In the 1881 census Walter was living at 41 Howall St, Everton, Lancashire. Cotton Porter[3]
On 5 April 1891 Walter was living at 101 Rishton St, Everton, Lancashire. Cotton packer.[4]
