Biography

Pierre ran a pool hall in Kaskaskia.

Pierre must have died sometime between September 11th and November 3rd 1738.

From the Kaskaskia Manuscripts... 11 Sep 1738 38:9:11:1 Transfer, subject to a life interest, of a house, its furnishings, and a billiard hall by Pierre Mallet, merchant, to Daniel Legras, both of Kaskaskia, in payment of an old debt of Mallet and his late wife Magdelaine Tuvet(?) dit Dufrene, contracted about 1719 or 1720 to Legras at Detroit for 1800 livres in trade goods. Legras to receive immediately 200 livres per year from the income of the billiard hall. Recounts circumstances which prevented Mallet from repaying debt on time, including seizure of the trade goods by De Tonty who was Commandant at Detroit at the time of the original loan. From the Kaskaskia Manuscripts... 38:11:3:2 Petition addressed to Delaloere Flaucourt by Piere Pertuy, husband of Catherinne Malhet, requesting that an inventory be made of the property of the late Malhet , his father-in-law, in order that a sale may be held and the estate settled.
