Notes

Note BI75055age 1 in 1850, 7 in 1856, 10 in 1860, 30 in 1880.

Note NI75055Some sources say he died after 1898 in Kansas. He was a millwright. He might have been named for his father's good friend and brother-in-law Robert Brownfield. 1

I have not found Robert or his sister Elizabeth on the 1870 census. He might have been the Robert Mallory enumerated in 1870 in Cooper County, Missouri or the one enumerated in 1870 in Jackson County, Missouri. 1

In 1880 he was a farmhand, age 30, living in Tuscola, Illinois, with his wife Mary (age 25) and son Oscar (age 2). 1

If Robert Mallory or one of his sisters settled in Colorado or Wyoming it might account for the marriage of his niece Essie Wilson to Wyoming rancher Will Luce.
