Biography

Burial in Memorial Cemetery, Fremont, Dodge County, Nebraska.

Daughter of Ray and Mable (Ryan) Malloy. She grew up in Wayne and Snyder and attended Snyder High School. She moved to Fremont in 1934. Marceline Malloy married Roy O. Bowers on Dec. 23, 1938, in Plattsmouth. Marceline and her husband, Roy, along with his twin brother, Ray and wife, owned Bowers Brothers Motors, a Kaiser Frazer Dealership, from 1946-1953. They then operated Bowers Motor Supply, a NAPA dealership, from 1953 to 1981.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fremont, Nebraska Laureate Zeta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Red Hat Society. She was a charter member of Benevolent Patriotic Order of Does 129 and was the treasurer for 20 years. She was a former member of Fremont Area Medical Center Auxiliary. She was an avid bridge player and belonged to several card clubs.

Survivors include: a stepson, Robert R. (and wife, Maggie) Bowers of Olympia, Wash.; sister-in-law, Margaret Malloy of Omaha; two stepgrandchildren, Diane and Michael of Olympia; nieces and nephews, Rita Goodenough of Fremont, Marilyn and Ben Schneider of Hastings, Dr. Tim Malloy, Mike and Sharon Malloy, Kathy Riley, Patty and Greg Daniell, Maureen and Tom Blayock and Teresa and Dan Loughran, all of Omaha, and Mary and Elyas Luger of Colorado; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Veronica Bleyhl; and brothers, Vincent and E. Joseph Malloy.
