In about 1920, Myrtle went to board with her Uncle and Aunt Rev Walter and Ada Johns at "The Parsonage" Werribee Victoria. At the time her Johns cousins were: Millicent aged 7, Mary aged 5 and Gilberta aged 3.
Myrtle was studying music in Melbourne.
A Schwechten piano was purchased specifically for Myrtle to use. This valued instrument has remained with family members for over 100 years and is still played today by 2 great grandsons of Walter and Ada.
Carlyle McKeown was born in Werribee and it is probable that Myrtle met her husband to be whilst she was boarding there.
Carlyle became an ordained Presbyterian Minister and shortly after their marriage he was appointed Minister of Corryong Parish Victoria.
In 1950 he was Minister of Armadale Presbyterian Church in Melbourne and they were living at "Wendouree" 11 Denbigh Road Armadale.
As Orally related to Michael Nickell by his Aunt Mary Pern Johns cousin of Myrtle in 2007
