Dorothy Allison, 74 , of Amarillo died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Robert Field, retired minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mrs. Allison was born in Amarillo, where she lived all her life. She loved flowers, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Arthur Allison; two sons, Arthur G. Allison of Bonham and William E. Allison of Amarillo; a daughter, Renee Briones of McKinney; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Jan. 27, 2006.
