Biography

Lorraine graduated from Copenhagen, New York, United States, in 1955 and entered the army. He was stationed in France for most of his overseas duty and was trained as an ammunition demolition expert. While he was in the army he began using the nickname "Larry" and continued using this as his preferred name until his death. Following his discharge he became a mechanic and owned and operated a filling station in Watertown, New York. He died from a heart attack, with severe complications from cancer of the throat and lungs. One of his legs had to be amputated because of circulation complications. He is buried in the Tylerville (So. Rutland)cemetery.
