Piety Jane Maners was born on September 1, 1837, in Clay, Indiana, her father, William, was 28, and her mother, Elliner, was 18. She married John Wesley Wilson on July 23, 1856, in Owen, Indiana. They had 11 children in 18 years. She died on December 24, 1933, in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 96, and was buried in Spencer, Indiana.[1]
