Biography

Rose was born in Tunbridge Wells Kent on 10 January 1901. She is the daughter of Jesse Mann and Emma Blackman.

Rose had a long term relationship with William Cecil Barnett, some details of which are unclear. They married in Tonbridge in 1949, but they were together long before that. William had been married to Annie Beevis in 1924, but by 1939 that marriage appears to have broken down as William and Annie were living apart. In the 1939 Register, ten years prior to their actual marriage, Rose appears with 'Cecil' as Rose Barnett. We see no evidence that children came from the relationship.

Rose was widowed in June 1963 and she passed away in Tunbridge Wells in 1981 at age 80.
