If Millie was a daughter of William Mann of Montgomery/Tattnall/Appling, Georgia, her mother would have been his first wife, and not Mary Cavenah (creatively spelled as Covener by some). Some evidence for her being one of William's daughters would be helpful, as William has not been associated with the state of South Carolina as of 2022 research. He was in Georgia during several years of the 1790s for sure. In William Mann, Sr's 1825 will, he only listed one child from his first marriage, which was son David "of my former family". That puts Millie in question as a child of his, so some supporting evidence would be useful, or at a minimum, the logic and reasoning that was used.

Millie was born in 1790 or 1791, in South Carolina, and passed away in 25 June 1870.[1]

Millie married Frederick Land.
1850 census living in Irwin, Georgia, with husband and 7 children. The oldest child in the census was 25, born in 1825, in Georgia.[2]

Hi, I'm curious to know how Millie Mann was linked to the family of William Mann of Tattnall/Appling, GA. Some researchers are trying to confirm long-held details of this Mann family, as some new findings have changed some aspects of William Mann's story (such as Y-DNA linking him to Virginia, not Manns of NC - Y-DNA is very reliable for male DNA). His will only lists a few of his children, and only one child (David) from his first marriage. Based on Millie's age, she would have belonged to that first marriage, but was not mentioned. Also, there's no info as of 2022 linking this William Mann to SC. Thanks for any info!
