Birth

According to F-A-G, he was born on July 26, 1866.

Death

James died on July 20, 1944 in Bismarck, Hot Spring, Arkansas. He was 78. He is buried in the Bismarck Cemetery in Bismarck. His Death Certificate shows that he died on the 20th of August 1944 in Los Angeles, CA and that his father was a Mann and his mother was a Loy. [1]

1870 Census. Paschal was living with his spouse, Elizabeth, in Union, Tennessee. Paschal was 40 and Elizabeth was 37 b. in NC. There were the following children in the home:

Paschal's oldest son, William age 19 (Matilda was his mother); Mary Mann age 13 b. in TN; James and Susan Mann age 4 (appear to be twins) b. in TN; and Robert Mann age 3 b. in TN.[3]

1900 Census. James A. Mann was living with his spouse, Rosa, in Antioch, Hot Spring, Arkansas. He was 34 and she was 24. He was b. in TN and she was b. in AR. There were two daughters and one son in the home at this time. They were as follows:
Deania (Dena) age 11 b. in AR;
Addie age 8 b. in AR; and
Frederick age 3 b. in AR.[4]
1910 Census. Jim Mann was living at home with his spouse, Rosettie, in De Roche, Hot Spring, Arkansas. He was 43 and Rosa was 41. There was one son and two daughters in the home. The children were as follows:
Fred age 12 b. in AR;
Edith C. age 6 b in AR; and
Delta less than one year old b. in Arkansas. [5]
1940 Census. Ferd (Fred) Mann was 42 b. in AR living with his spouse, Johnnie M. age 41 b. in AR in Hot Springs Township, Garland, Arkansas. His father, James A Mann was living with them. He was 73 and widowed. Fred and Johnnie had one son and one daughter at home. They were as follows:
Athalee C. Kay(?) age 16 b. in AR and
James F. age 10 b. in AR. [6]
