Biography

Sarah Mann was the sixth known child of Joseph Mann and Harriet (Gould) Mann.[1][2]

Birth

She was born at Bournes Green, Chaddesley Corbett, Worcestershire, England and her birth was registered between January and March 1857.[1][3] Sarah was baptised 3 May 1857 in the Parish Church of St Cassian, Chaddesley Corbett.[2]

Residence

  • 1871 (with her parents) at Bournes Green, Chaddesley Corbett.[3]
  • 1881 at Tanwood, Chaddesley Corbett.[4]
  • 1891 to 1901 (in service) at Cromwell Road, Kensington, London.[5][6]
  • 1911 (with her sister Theresa) at Tanwood, Chaddesley Corbett.[7]

Occupation

  • 1891 and 1901 Nurse domestic.[5][6]

Research Notes

  • 1881 census has forenames Sarah Ann. Not seen anywhere else and that record is suspect as surnames are all Baylis.
  • 1881 census also records a 2 year old child Lilian, described as daughter of Sarah. Lilian Mann seen in 1891 as grand-daughter of Joseph Mann.
  • Not identified in Marriage or Death Registration Index.
