Harry was born in 1837. He was the son of William Manning.
He emigrated from England to New Zealand where he married Ada Ann Oppenheim in 1878.[1]
They had at least 7 children; Ruby Grace, Clifford Neville, Langly Cecil, Harry Leslie, Frederick, Violet Alice and Ursula.
Their daughter Ruby died at 4 years of age and two of their sons, Langley and Fred, were killed in the 1st World War.
He passed away in 1908 at the age of 70.[2]
