MANNING.--On August 3. 1916, at his residence, South Perth, John Daniel the loved husband of Gertrude, and dearly-loved father of J. D., E. E. (of Cannington), G. T., J. A. (Victoria Park), C. H. S., and Mrs. Curry, Mrs. Arnold, and Miss Louie Manning, of South Perth. brother of Joseph Manning, Bunbury and Mrs. D. Carmichael and Mrs. F. Wansbrough of Perth. His end was peace.[2]

The funeral, of the late Mr. John Daniel Manning, of Suburban-road, South Perth, took place on Saturday afternoon, and was largely attended. The deceased, aged 69 years, was born in Buckinghamshire England, and had resided in this State 64 years. He leaves a widow and grown-up family of five sons, three daughters, and a number of grandchildren. The cortege moved from his late Residence, Suburban-road, South Perth, and pro ceeded by road to Trinity Church, St. George's Terrace, where a service, was held by, the Rev. S. EL Cox, at the conclusion of which the cortege pro ceeded by road to the Congregational Cemetery, Karrakatta, where the re mains (enclosed in a polished jarrah casket, with silver mountings), were interred.
