Biography
She was first married to Edward Chapman and had the following children:

She was the administrator of her husband Edward Chapman's will. Estate record: 15 Feb 1713/14, Charles County, Maryland: goods and chattels of Edward Chapman {husband of Esther Manning} appraised at £81.1.8 by John Manning and William Stone Jr; Joseph Manning signed inventory as greatest creditor and next of kin [no date given for presentation in court] [1]
After the death of her first husband, she married Thomas Matthews (prior to 13 May 1713).
She was named in her father's 1717/18 will: " ... Esther Mathews" 100A "Manning's Discovery", "to her and the male heirs of herself and present husband Thomas Mathews, who shall be born after the date hereof," and personalty. [2]
