Martha was born about 1744 in Norfolk, Virginia. She was the daughter of Joseph Manning (1718–?) and Mary Mercer (1712–?), who were married about 1743 in Norfolk.
Martha married Willoughby Old on 20 September 1764 in Virginia. Her surname is spelled Maning in the marriage document.[1] Children of Martha Manning and Willoughby W Old are
