Ian - I have built a tool to analyse the geographic nature of the First Church which you may find of use. People are mistaking ceremonies performed at the first church with residency and its an error,
Thanks for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Collaboration with Pre-1700 Project members is essential for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because those ancestors are usually shared by many descendants.
It looks like the Canada Project would be a good fit based on your branch of WikiTree. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.
Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)
Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles that you manage or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).
Ian, do you happen to speak any other languages? Would you check out our languages template and add it to your biography? For example you might add
{{ Languages | en | fr-2 | ga-1 }}
to the top of your biography if you speak English natively, intermediate French and basic Irish, or you could use de-4 to specify near-native German or ru-1 for basic Russian, and so forth up to ten languages.
It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree! If you only speak English, you're very welcome to use this text to make that clear:

Try our Relationship Finder! It searches 20 generations. If you find a duplicate profile, the other managers are probably related. You can use this to find out how!
Thank you for joining WikiTree. Our G2G Forum is searchable or you can post a question there.
The Help Index is also an important place to find how to do most tasks.
If I can be of help in any way, please let me know!
Welcome aboard!

I was introduced to my ancestry by my Aunt who has since passed away. Now my daughter and I have together, and seperately, continued. I find that this has brought me closer to my daughter and that it is an interesting and enjoyable pasttime. I am not in any way a professional but do enjoy the hunt for supporting documents.
If you are just looking for family or other researchers working on the same names as yours, use the surname search
function at the top of the profile page or ask at G2G Forum
If you would like to enjoy the benefits of being a full member, leave us a message here letting us know. If you just
