Catherine (or Jane ?) Mansell, or Mansel, daughter of Sir Francis Mansell, 1st Bt., of Muddlescombe, Carmarthenshire, by his 2nd wife Dorothy Stepney, she married Sir John Stepney, 1st Bt.
According to The Peerage.com, Geni.com and formerly Burke's Peerage it seems he was her maternal uncle. In 1662 the CoE Book of Common Prayer's Table of Kindred and Affinity listed such a marriage relationship as prohibited cosanguinity.
