She may have been the Mary Mansfield who married Bartholomew Doyle in Boston, Massachusetts, on March 12, 1723-4, as his first wife.[3][4][5] However, beyond her name, no conclusive source has been found to corroborate this.
Mary was not mentioned in her father's will written May 18, 1731, leading to the conclusion that she died prior to that date. Notably, her father left bequests to several of his grandchildren, while also naming their deceased parents. Yet Mary's name is not among these bequests either.[1] Perhaps Mary never married or, at least, never had any children.
Bartholomew Doyle remarried to Elizabeth Sprague on January 1, 1727-8.[5] If Mary was his first wife, she was certainly deceased before this date.
