Abigail Mansfield, the daughter of Moses Mansfield and Mercy Glover, was born February 7, 1664/5.[1]
On September 13, 1682 she married John Atwater.[2][3]
Abigail died September 24, 1717 and was buried at Wallingford..[4]
Among the descendants of John & Abigail were Ward Atwater, a prominent sea captian in the West Indies trade, and Jeremiah Atwater, president of Middlebury College, Vermont & later of the Dickinson College of Pennsylvania [5].
The children of John and Abigail were all born in Wallingford.[3]
