This William Richard Mansker has been incorrectly identified as William Albert Mansker, who was a train robber, and who was hanged for his crime in Newport, Arkansas on 6 Apr 1894. It was reported in the Daily Arkansas Gazette in an article dated 7 Apr 1894.[12] that William Albert Mansker had married Mollie Jones. It must be obvious to any researcher that this William Richard Mansker lived beyond 1894 and died in 1919 in Texas. Not only is this William Richard Mansker mistakenly identified as William Albert Mansker in the article, but this revelation casts a pall on all the other wild claims made in the Daily Arkansas Gazette newspaper article about William Albert Mansker.
