Biography
Pierre Manègre was born on 20 September 1768, baptized on the 21st in Berthier-en-Haut (now Berthierville), son of Joseph Manègre and of Marie Josephe Robert, his godfather was Pierre Robert, his godmother Geneviève Grégoire.[1][2][3]
Marriage Pierre Manègre, son of Joseph Manègre and of Marie Josephe Robert, married Marie Marguerite Provost, daughter of Pierre Provost and of Marie Geneviève Lesiège, on 11 February 1793 in St-Cuthbert.[4] His parents or himself are cited as being of the parish of St-Pierre de Sorel (wording always ambiguous on who is referred to)
15 known children to the couple, of which 5 are known to die young and 6 to marry.[5]

Death
Pierre Manègre, husband of Marguerite Provost, died on 2 July 1825 and was buried on the 4th in St-Cuthbert, the record giving him 59 years of age. Cited present were his sons Pierre and Jean baptiste Manègre.[6][7]
