Père et mère: Il est le fils de Claude Marcoux et de Marie Junot (Juneau / Jouineau).
Naissance: Vers 1629, il naît à Saint-Julien, Cry, Avallon, Yonne, France. [1]
Première mention en Nouvelle-France: Le 15 octobre 1655, il vit à Beauport, Canada. [1]
Le 4 novembre 1658, il obtient une concession de trois arpents de front sur une profondeur de cinquante arpents.
Le 18 octobre 1659, Pierre Marcou est à Québec, Canada.
Mariage: Le 27 novembre 1661, Marthe de Rainville et Pierre Marcou signent un contrat de mariage par devant Maître Paul Vachon dit Pomerleau. Le 8 janvier 1662, à l'a Chapelle de Beauport, Pierre Marcou âgé de 33 ans épouse Marthe De Rainville âgée de 15 ans, fille de Paul De Rainville et de Roline Poëte. Dimanche le 24 août 1664, fête de St.Barthélémy,Pierre Marcou est confirmé à Québec; son nom n'est cependant pas retrouvé dans l'énuméré de cette date. Ce que les sulpiciens ont écrit sur cette date, en vieux français: - Le 24 (août 1665). Monfeign. (Monseigneur de Laval) donne Ie Sacrement de Confirmation a vn (un) grand nombre de foldats (soldats) & a quelques habitans (habitants). Le P. Dablon les y a difpofez (disposé) par deux fermons (sermons) fur (sur) la penitence (pénitence) Ie (les) 2I. & 22. a (à) 8. heures du matin dans la paroiffe (paroisse).
Feu de joye.
Le foir, il fe fit vn feu de ioye, ou fe trouuerent les troupes, tout Ie clergé en furplis, 4. de nos Pères; Monfeigneur mit Ie feu auec Monfeign. de Tracy. Monfeign. de Tracy fait publier ordonnance par laquelle il ordonne aux habitans de fournir cet hyuer aux foldats qui hyuerneront a Québecq 800. cordes de bois. [5]
Le 26 juillet 1665, à Québec, il est présent lors du mariage de Suzanne Badeau et de Jean de Rainville.
Recensement 1667: Pierre Marcou, 36 ; Marthe Rainville, sa femme, 22 ; Pierre, 4 ; Louise, 1 ; 2 bestiaux, 12 arpents en valeur. Ils habitent aux côtes de Beauport, Notre-Dame-des-Anges ou autres lieux des environs de Québec, Canada. [6]
Le 15 septembre 1670, Joseph Giffard, seigneur de Beauport concède un arpent de terre de front à Pierre Marcou.
Recensement 1681: Pierre Marcou, maçon, 50 ; Marthe d’Erainville (de Rainville), sa femme, 37 ; enfants : Louise 15, Jean 12, Marie 10, Noël 7, Marthe 5, Madelaine 2 ; Joachim, domestique, 21 ; 1 fusil ; 6 bêtes à cornes ; 40 ; arpents en valeur. Ils habitent à la seigneurie de Beauport, Canada. [7]
Le fils ainé Joachim Marcou est énuméra en tant que domestique de Pierre Marcou à la seigneurie de Beauport.
Le 30 novembre 1683, Pierre Marcou achète une terre et habitation de deux arpents de front au village Saint-Michel, par devant Gilles Rageot de Saint-Luc.
Le 15 février 1699, Thérèse Louise Marcou donne quittance de trois cents livres à son père Pierre Marcou, par devant Jean-Robert Duprac.
Décès: Le 11 juin 1699, âgé de 78 ans, Pierre Marcou décède et est inhumé le jour suivant, à Beauport, Canada.[8] [9]

Pierre Marcoux , son of Claude Marcoux and Marie Juneau or Jovineau, was born at Cry-sur-Armançon, in 1631, of a family of craftsman. This small village, less than a league distant from an important medieval castle, was part of the county of Rochefort, erected in 1758. A fortified bridge of nine low spans was thrown on the river Armançon in the sixteenth century end More easily access the land of the castle whose village depended and where the inhabitants found refuge in case of danger. Parish registers did not begin unfortunately until 1644. Pierre was baptized on the same day, according to tradition, in the church of his parish, St-Julien de Brioude, religiously dependent on the diocese of Langres.
Pierre Marcoux was destined for the priesthood. He must have received a certain instruction since he signed the notarial deeds himself. But, wishing to work for the edification of the colony, he resumed the ancient profession of his fathers. Indeed " Adrien Marcoux ", probably his grandfather, built in 1553 the chapel of the hamlet of Laultramont, near Perrigny-sur-Armançon (France), now disappeared. He taught his children the art of building which lasted several generations. Pierre recovered the gestures of his childhood and became a mason again. He married and raised a large family.
He married Marthe de Rainville at Beauport. Their union was sealed by a traveling priest from Quebec City on January 8, 1662. The young bride from Saint-Thomas-de-Touques, in Normandy, arrived with her mother Pauline Poète and her brothers and sisters in 1659, to join father Paul de Rainville , settled on the island of Percée. He was also usher of the seigniory of Beauport. According to the age declared when she passed the ship, Marthe de Rainville was fifteen and a half years old at her marriage. But the girls to marry were cruelly lacking in the colony. Marriage of love or reason, she will give him eleven children. The couple moved to Beauport. The village did not yet have a church because the children born there will be baptized in Quebec a few days later. from Généalogie du Québec et d'Amérique française nos origines
