Biography

Ada was born in 1858. She was the daughter of Bradley Marcy and Mary Proseus.

Census 1870: Living with her parents and two siblings in Wisconsin, United States. Aged 12.[1]

At the age of 20 Ada married widower Robert Bruce Dodge on August 20, 1878 at Washington, United States. He was 25 years her senior and had about three children by his first wife.

Ada and Robert had at least 10 children together.

Census 1880: Living with her husband and his two children, as well as their own son Orville in Thurston, Washington, United States. Ada was aged 22.[2]

Her husband passed away in 1907.

By 1910 Ada was living at Battle Ground, Clark, Washington, United States with her nine children and one boarder. She was by now 51 years of age.[3]

She passed away in 1951 at the age of 92.
