Leoluchina Marino is born 12 July 1894 in Corleone and baptized the next day, the daughter of Vincenzo Marino and Bernarda Piranio. Her godfather is Antonio Mancuso.[1]
A margin note says she marries in New York at the Chiesa del Carmine to Gaspare Pollara, son of Nicolo’ Pollara and Rosaria Leone, born 16 April 1888, and marries 15 December 1912. There is a corresponding note on his baptismal record. Gaspare was also born in Corleone.[2]
Leoluchina is 18 when she marries Gaspare Pollara ("Gaspari Pollaro"), age 24 (b. 1888), born in Italy, son of Nicolo’ Pollaro and Rosaria Leone, on 9 December 1912 in Manhattan.[3]
Gaspare is an associate of Giuseppe Morello's who is attacked when Morello is killed, on 15 August 1930. Gaspare "barely survives."[4]
