Biography
WILLIAM WITHMOND MARRION was born on 8 July 1881 to John L. Marion (1846-1915) and Francis Jewell (Park) Marion (1851-1940).
William married Mary Salome (Sledge) Marion (1888-1949) circa 1909 in Mississippi, and they had seven children that are known of:
- William Burns Marion (1910 - 1966),
- Mary F. Marion (1914 - 1918),
- George Witt Marion (1916 - 1988),
- Johnnie F. Marion (1919 - ),
- Sledge Marion (1920 - 1922),
- Sara Marion (1924 - ), and
- Joan Marion (1928 - ).
William passed away on 16 February 1947 in Lee County, Mississippi, and he was laid to rest at Providence Cemetery in Nettleton, Lee County, Mississippi.
