George Marion was born on 19 May 1858 in Joliette, Bas-Canada [now Québec, Canada]. He was baptized on 20 May 1858 at Saint-Charles-Borromée, Joliette.[1] He was the son of Jean Baptiste Marion and Rosalie Forget.[1][2]
In the 1861 Canada census, George Marion (age 3) was living in Joliette, Canada East, with parents Jean Baptiste Marion (42) and Rose Latour (37), and siblings Desire (17), Delima (16), Melvina (13), Caliste (11), Eugene (8), Marie (6) and Philomene (5).[3]
In the 1871 Canada census, George Marion (age 12) was living in Tiny, Simcoe, Ontario, with parents John Marion (56) and Rose Marion (48), and siblings Melvino (23), Olice (21), Eujane (18), Mary (16), Philomine (14) and Iscard (3).[4]
In the 1881 Canada census, George Marion (age 21) was living in Simcoe North, Ontario, with parents Baptiste Marion (69) and Rosalie Marion (56), and siblings Calisee (36) and Escare (13). He was a farmer.[5]
George Marion (24) married Philomene Lesperance (17) on 20 Feb 1882 at St Ann, Penetanguishene, Simcoe, Ontario, Canada.[6]
In the 1891 Canada census, George Marion (32) was living in Tiny Township, Simcoe County, Ontario, with his wife Philomene Marion (26), and children Marie Anne (7), Yachinte [Hyacinthe] (3) and Michel (1), and with his parents J Baptiste Marion (76) and Rosalie Marion (66), and with Milie Perrault (18, servant). He was a farmer.[7]
In 1901, George Marion (41) was living in Tiny Township, with his wife Philomene Marion (36), and children Marie Anne (17), Hyacinthe (13), Michel (11), Victoire (9), Baptiste (7), Rachel (5), Clerce (3), Angelina (1), and his parents Jean Baptiste Marion (84) and Rosalie Marion (74).[8]
In 1911, George Marion (52) was living in Tiny Township with his wife Philomena Marion (46), and children Michel (22), Victorie (19), Raphale (17), Rachel (15), Clerel [Clerce] (13), Angelina (12), Donalda [Imelda] (9), Albertine (8), and Leonke (6), and with his mother Rosalie Marion (90).[9]
In 1921, George Marion (age 63) and Philomene Marion (56) were living in Tiny, Simcoe, with children Michael (32), Angeline (21), Imelda (19), Albertine (18) and Leame (16). he was a farmer.[10]
George Marion, born in 1858 in Joliette, son of Baptiste Marion and Rosalie Forget, died on 30 Apr 1934 in Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada.[2] He was buried at Sainte-Croix Roman Catholic Cemetery, Lafontaine, Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada.[11]
