Biography

Date of birth estimated.

His given name is actually unknown. It is not given by any of the known siblings in the family to their known children, which indicates that it may be someone else's name.

Research Notes

Richard Marion and his wife Clémentine had been removed as parents of Nicolas Marion dit Lafontaine, until further evidence is found for the relationship (online tree HERE not sufficient proof).[1]

Nicolas Marion's second wedding clearly shows the presence of his brother-in-law Georges Fossay and his wife Anne Marion as well as Ollivier Marion his brother, so named on the record (with signatures).[2] There are numerous baptisms of children where the various people are godparents of each other's children. It is thus safe to assume that whatever this Marion's give name actually was, and whatever his wife's name was, these are all siblings. Reconnecting.

There are a number of children listed in FamilySearch (http://familysearch.org : modified 14 July 2020, 23:06), entry for Clementine inconnu (PID https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/4:1:29MT-31H); contributed by various users tree who are listed as born in Petit, Joncherey, Terr Belfort, France. Joncherey, territoire de Belfort, was in Bourgogne or in Franche-Comté in this era. Very far from Normandie or Bretagne. Prior location of marriage totally unsourced, was based on this, removed.

Research ongoing to find any other records for the extended family.
