Salome was born in 1797 [3] to Peter Mark [2]. At some point in time she married David Flohr [1]. They had two children, a boy and a girl [1]. Salome died in Pennsylvania in 1836 [2] and was buried in Flohr's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Adams County [3].
1. On April 22, 1823 David Flohr wrote his will. In it he named his beloved wife Salome and his two children Matilda and George Mark. He appointed his brother Valentine Flohr as executor of his will. Two of the three witnesses were Daniel Mickley and Peter Mark. [Adams County Orphan's Court File #1106.]
2. The 1830 U.S. Census for the State of Pennsylvania, Adams County, Franklin Township (Sarah, age 30 to 40). [Census available on ancestry.com.]
3. The Republican Compiler of Adams County, Pennsylvania for December 20, 1836 stated: "DIED - on Saturday morning last, at the residence of her father, Mr. Peter Mark, of Franklin township, Mrs. Sarah Flohr, widow of Mr. David Flohr, formerly of the borough."
