I don't know the death date of Lucy Popp. I can't find anything on ancestry or in
family notes. She and her husband Phillip William Popp lived in Orienta Point,
Westchester County,
Mamaroneck, NY. He was the Manager of the Henry Darlington Estate and Gardens, known to host the wealthy and well known persons for summer
vacations at the estate, providing horses and on the Horseshoe Inlet.
Phillip was a well known prize winning Hortoculturist featured in many magazines and newspapers, organizations, etc.
They had two children Robert William Popp (my father) and a sister
Sylvia Popp. I don't know when they moved from the estate, I would
suspect it was at the time of Mr. Darlington's decease.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Lucy by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Lucy:
no family photos that include her. My grandfather never remarried after her death.
