Johann Arnold Bernd Marcus was born about 2 January 1823 in Berge, Osnabrück, Hannover, Deutscher Bund.[1]
Johann (27) married Catharina Margaretha Elisabeth Markus (31) (born about 12 May 1819 in Berge) about 19 November 1850 in Quincy, Adams. Their known son was John William Markus (born 17 August 1851).
Johann died on 16 July 1897 in Quincy, Adams, Illinois, United States, aged 74.
