I’m trying to push through the brick wall on the Phillips side of the family. My grandmother, Ruby Phillips Marlin, was born in Lawrence County, AR—near Walnut Ridge (probably Clover Bend). Her father, Green W. Phillips, was killed due to injuries from a tornado in May of 1927. There was very little contact with anyone in the Phillips family from there on out, so I have done my best to deduce which Phillips relatives are our—-but still need more confirmation!Marlin-265 18:24, 29 September 2018 (UTC)

My maternal grandmother was a Donaldson. She was born in NE Arkansas, but her father came from from TN, and before that they reach back to New Brunswick (Canada) and Scotland!
Marlin is my maiden name. My family is primarily based in Arkansas, but as they move back in time we find them in Tennessee and Pennsylvania
My mother’s maiden name (surname) was Wright. Her father was born in NE Arkansas but I’m interested in previous generations that moved from Ohio, and before that from Indiana and Virginia.

Hey Tanya,

I was cleaning up problems on various profiles when I landed on your Uncle Bidy. Sometimes it’s easy to get carried away when a profile catches your interest ... my mind just kicks in and I start investigating. I understand I am not alone in this.

Best of luck with your tree building. If you have any questions or comments, feel free. I’m always happy to help as are many many WikiTreers ... it’s a great group here.

Hi Tanya

As you have been a member of WikiTree for about a week now I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.

Has the New Member How-To  been helpful or left you with any questions?

I am here to help with any problems or queries you may have. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message.  Sometimes links don't work in emails.  If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Thanks for volunteering!

You are now an active member of the WikiTree community, and can start adding your family.

I recommend starting with our New Member How-To pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you create your family profiles. Building your family tree on WikiTree will help you connect with others who have the same ancestors.

Need help? Just ask!

Above all, have FUN!  :) I hope you enjoy WikiTree as much as I have!

Kind regards,

P.S. If you ever get a "Page Not Found" error when you click a link in a WikiTree email, you can usually find a functioning link in the public comments section of your profile page.
