Elisabeth Marschall was born May 27, 1886 in Meiningen, Sachsen-Meiningen, Germany.
She was the Head Nurse (Oberschwester) at the Ravensbrück concentration camp. Her duties include selecting prisoners for execution, overseeing medical experiments, and selecting which prisoners are to be shipped to Auschwitz.
At the Hamburg Ravensbrück Trials, she is found guilty and sentenced to death. On May 3, 1947 she was hanged at Hameln prison. She was the oldest female Nazi to be executed
